When Your Account Number Receives a New SMS, Then Create an Item in a Board

This guide will walk you through setting up a custom automation recipe in monday.com using the SMS powered by Sinch integration. This specific recipe will automatically create a new item on your chosen board whenever a new SMS is received by your SMS powered by Sinch account number

From your monday.com board, click the Automate button located in the top-right corner

Next, click Create in the top-middle section of the automation centre.

Under "Start with the basics," select Create from scratch.

Click on the "When this happens" section to begin defining your trigger.

In the search bar, type sms and then choose the "SMS" app from the results. This will set your trigger to "When Account Number receives a new SMS".

Click on the "Then do this" section.

From the options, select "create item in board".

Note: You will need to choose and set up the specific "board" first before configuring the "item" details within the recipe

If this is your first time setting up SMS powered by Sinch , you will be prompted to authorise the connection. Click Authorise.

Next, click "I Agree" to the Cookie Consent to proceed.

Enter API Credentials.

Enter your API Credentials (API Key and API Secret) into the provided fields and click Submit.

Note: You only need to authorise SMS powered by Sinch once per monday.com account. If you have previously authorised SMS powered by Sinch or set up another recipe, monday.com will automatically skip the authorisation process and direct you straight to setting up your new recipe.

Set Up and Activate Your Recipe

Proceed to Set up the Recipe, configuring the details for the new item that will be created on your board when an SMS is received.

After setting up all the necessary components of your recipe, click Create Automation to finalise and activate it
